Canada offers a variety of immigration streams at the federal and provincial levels for business owners or managers looking to obtain permanent residency in Canada. There are dozens of immigration programs that are designed by the federal, provincial, and territorial governments of Canada to attract international entrepreneurs and investors. Their goal is to add innovation, contribution, and job creation to benefit and strengthen their individual region’s economies and the country.
In general, the following investment categories are listed below:
Option 1: $50K – $100K,
Option 2: $100K – $250K,
Option 3: $250K – $500K,
Option 4: $500K – $1 Million, and
Option 5: $1 Million+.
Each of these business immigration programs has its own list of requirements. Here is a list of combined requirements (vary case-by-case). However, most programs are not this exhaustive or restrictive.

Starting a business or acquiring a business.

A business plan,
A letter of support from a designated organization,
Curriculum vitae (CV) or resume,
Educational documents (i.e., diplomas, degrees, certificates, transcripts etc.),
Language proficiency requirements in English, French or both,
Medical examination records,
Passport and travel documents,
Police clearance certificate,
Proof of funds from the designated organization,
proof of sufficient settlement funds,
Recent digital passport-sized photographs,
Work experience documents,
Other supporting documents: any other documents that support your application, such as proof of previous business ownership, patents, awards, and any other relevant qualifications.
The first step for the service is to evaluate the candidate’s documents by the NSRIC expert team. These documents include the above information, travel documents and passport(s), background documentation, documents from your company, documents proving assurance that you will not be staying beyond the stipulated time, adequate medical insurance, photos meeting specifications, police certificates and clearances, proof of funds, and proof of language proficiency, etc.
